Tache Coffee Company approached us to do a full redesign of their branding and packaging. We wanted to create an identity for the brand that brought to life the spirit of the company’s owners. They wanted to look different, a little punk, a touch quirky and of course, it had to feature mustaches.
The core objective for the packaging redesign was to make the branding distinct and recognizable. We wanted to create a system that give us a unified look helping with brand recognition but also offer some flexible areas that could be altered for the each variety of coffee.
Researching the owners competitive mustache growing history we discovered the wide range of competitive mustache styles and used this to build the variant elements on the packaging. Each blend has a different ‘tache’ and secondary title based on that style.
